Last night, some of the Scott & Mears team were invited to the Cliffs Pavilion Southend for the Southend United Football Club End of Season Awards 2024/25.
The evening celebrated many successes that the club have had during the 2024/25 season, with a total of 17 awards handed out through the night.
Awards such as U19s Player of the Season, Moment of the Season, Players' Player of the Season, Supporters' Player of the Season - the list goes on!
Scott & Mears had the opportunity to sponsor the award of Save of the Season, playing on the fact that we have "save money for businesses". That's how it was pitched anyway, and we quite liked it!!
There was a list of six different nominations for Save of the Season for two goalkeepers who have had game-time this season, Collin Andeng Ndi and Nick Hayes. But in the end, the award went to Collin Andeng Ndi for his incredible save against Dagenham & Redbridge (H). We were of course impartial, but I do have to say, the club could have thought about the seating plan before they sat us on the same table as his goalkeeper teammate Nick Hayes! He was of course a great sport, and we had many laughs.
All of the award winners can be found here.

Over the last few years, Scott & Mears have been close supporters of Southend United FC, first getting to know the Commercial Manager Rylee through the difficult times of the takeover.
We offered support by sponsoring various events, such as An Evening with the Management Team in April 2023, the networking section of An Evening with the Southend United Consortium in January 2024, as well as sponsoring the game against Oxford City on 3rd October 2023, the day that the words "Southend United Consortium" were first muttered.
We love supporting our local club, and we are looking forward to the opportunities to come with Southend United Football Club in the future.
