The Scott and Mears Training Program

All our collections teams, in addition to being comprehensively trained in DPA and CCA compliance, must complete a unique in-house training programme.  This extensive programme has been developed over many years and includes:

• Negotiation Handling
• Customer Service
• Call Handling
• Telephone Technique
• Collection Psychology
• Advanced PC Skills and Correspondence Excellence

No employee is permitted to undertake any collection activity until they have completed this training programme to the satisfaction of a senior manager.

We don’t believe that training is something to be completed once, then forgotten. All employees of Scott & Mears undergo a process of continual training and development, participating in regular in-house courses to ensure that they are abreast of industry developments and legislation changes. We work as a team, sharing new experiences to enhance our effectiveness and maintain our high service standards.

We are proud of our employees and consider them the most important assets of  Scott & Mears. All employees are encouraged to undertake additional vocational training which includes studying for membership of the Institute of Credit Management.
